yes, we updated & fixed our chrome casting that stopped working for ~10 months for various reasons.

I _thought_ I had a similar setup as before -- where once you start casting an archive.org item, it will stay casting. this way, you can browse around the archive, and the next item gets playing (without having to go back through the cast button & device finding & cast again, each time). I sill think that's useful -- please LMK if that's not the case from your POV.

I think perhaps the ideal case might be (??) if i can manage to get the item archive.org/details/ page play and pause button to play/pause the casting?

As far as plowing onwards through the rest of the item (ie: not the first track only) -- you'd prefer that, too, when chrome casting?

Still the same deal over here. Rather than getting "casting tab" when I click the Chromecast icon I get "default media receiver" with the screen display and limitations that I described in my earlier comment.

It's been a week now and I really hope that the LMA software engineers can revert back to the previous functionality. Like I said I can get around it by using "cast screen" but that has its own limitations.

hey, you seem to have not answered my questions above for some reason? i'm the person making the chromecast adjustments and dont wish to get into their (chrome's) crappy snakepit of code/setup until i get more information...

I reread your post above and I'm not sure what your questions are.

To reiterate:

Prior to 10/1/25, when I pressed the Chromecast icon on my Chrome browser on my Win10 laptop in order to stream a recording from the LMA to my digital audio receiver, it would say "casting tab". It would project the screen onto my TV but that was incidental as I used my laptop to navigate the recording. I could easily jump around the various tracks, pause, etc.

Starting on 10/1/25, when I hit the Chromecast icon, it now says "Default Media Receiver", automatically plays the first track without me choosing it, and the screen has a white horizontal line that expands as the track plays. Would it help if I posted a pic?

Once the first track is played, it dies. At that point all I see is a big Chromecast icon on my TV. There is no way to proceed furthur.

I am able to get around it by choosing "casting screen" over 'casting tab" but that has certain limitations.

I would very much appreciate it if the functionality that existed prior to 10/1/25 could be restored.
